Ardclough defeat Kill to book U-16 Football Final spot

Ardclough sealed their place in the U-16 Football League Division 4 Final with an eight point win over neighbours Kill, at home, last Friday night (19th April).

Despite not being their best performance to date, Ardclough still grafted to get the win, being unlucky also with some missed goal chances and captain Donal Delahunt rattling the crossbar in the first half.

The athletic Arron Kelly was impressive in midfield, covering a lot of yards and setting-up attack as they lead by 0-07 to 0-03 at half-time.

Ardclough pushed on and turned their possession into more scores after the restart, despite also adding to their wide count, scoring six more points and holding their opponents to two points.

Ardclough now face St. Edwards in the Final in Hawkfield on Monday 6th May in Hawkfield.

Edwards won their last encounter in the group stages , by six points, at the end of March. But with both sides finishing level at the top of the table its set to be a high-scoring and close encounter.
