Ardclough 4-03 Maynooth 2-02

Melissa Kirby

Three second half goals helped Ardclough secure a well deserved victory over Maynooth in the Junior ‘B’ Camogie Championship in Ardclough.

With wet and windy conditions effecting play, it was Ardclough that master the conditions better early on, Fidelma Byrne getting the opening two points.

Maynooth hit back, raising a white flag of their own.

Ardclough got the first of their four goals through Therese Mac Kenna, only for Maynooth to reply in kind very quickly, to cut Ardclough’s lead to one at the break.
