Ardclough ran out convincing winners against Moorefield, despite an early scare, in this Division 2 clash played in a very windy Moorefield.

Playing into a stiff wind, the home team opened brightly, grabbing a goal within the first two minutes.

A hopeful ball from a ’65 was launched into the square and doubled to the back of the Ardclough net.

A shell shocked Ardclough then responded with four quick points to settle their nerves.

These points were quickly followed by a Padraic O’Malley goal from a rebound.

The floodgates then opened as a deluge of scores followed which included 1-01 from Niall Delahunt and another O’Malley goal.
