Killard Minor Footballers got their ‘B’ Championship campaign back on track with a hard fought win over Eadestown in Naas on Tuesday (20th August)
After a narrow defeat to Rathangan in round 1, Killard fought hard for their three-point win this time out.

Playing against a strong wind in the first half Killard put up stout defence and worked extremely well as a team to lead at half-time by two.
Killard were creating a lot in attack, but some poor shot selection however resulted in a smaller lead than they deserved for their efforts.
Eadestown rallied in the second period and got level with 10 minutes left on the clock. 

It was in the final period of the game that Killard regrouped and hit 1-03 to finish the game on the up.
The killer goal came from a good team move and finished to the net by the lively Nathan Fitzharris.

Eadestown netted a late penalty but Killard stood strong to claim a vital victory.
