Our draw tonight on March 20th is for €5,200. We had no winner of our jackpot last week with Tom Kelly (Online) | Ben Hatton (Paper) picking up the €50 lucky dips.

In the Lounge 

The lounge opens at 5pm today Friday. We’ve no 6 nations this week but what a great weekend of rugby it was. Thankfully we have lots of GAA to keep us going both at the club and county level !

It’s a late start on Saturday with Limerick v Galway throwing in at 7pm on TG4, Cork v Offaly on TG4 Youtube channel as is the Tipp v Kilkenny game – all at 7pm.

Sunday we have wall to wall football from 1.15pm. Kildare v Louth is on TG4 for those that can’t make it to Cedral St Conleth’s, throw in 1.15pm , Derry v Cavan, Offaly v Meath and Tyrone v Cork are all on the TG4 Youtube channel at 1.15pm. Wexford v Westmeath is on the TG4 App at 2pm. Then Galway v Dublin throws in in TG4 at 3.30pm with Armagh v Kerry on GAA+ at 3.30pm and Mayo v Roscommon and Monaghan v Donegal at the same time on TG4 Youtube.

 

Seachtain na Gaeilge 

Seachtain na Gaeilge runs from 1st to 17th March and we encourage everyone to use their cúpla focail around the club. We’ll be posting some handy words as gaeilge that you can use around the club !

Go Games Referee Course – March 25th 

A Go Games Referee Workshop will take place next Wednesday 25th March at 7pm in Cedral Park St Conleth’s.
The maximum that can attend is 100 so spaces are limited and we encourage everyone to register early, through the below link
There will NOT be any confirmation email sent back to those who register so we just ask people who have registered to turn up on the night.
Participant must be over the age of 15 and turn16 in 2026.

Feile – LGFA 

Our Straffard U15 team had a great day on St Patrick’s Day, as they travelled the short distance to Celbridge. With both Celbridge and themselves having won 2 games – it was all to play for. It wasn’t to be as Celbridge came out with the win and the semi final place. Huge well done to the team, we’re so proud of you all .

Feile Football 

Our U15 x 2 teams are out representing St Edwards in their feile on Saturday in Celbridge and Rathcoffey. Match details below, best of luck to both teams, have a great day !!

Weekly Round Up 

It was a great week eventually on the pitch with lots of games on in the later part of the week. Our Senior Football League opening round on Friday was postponed due to pitch closure, most likely refixed for early April. Our U16 hurlers , and U12 hurlers also had games postponed.

Our U12 D1 hurlers got their league underway as they travelled to Naas with an opening win, 2-8 to 4-13 on Saturday.

Go Games returned with our U7 footballers playing their first game in Maynooth – amazing skills on show – we are incredibly proud of all the players and their coaches. First of many great games ahead.

Our U9 footballers took the short trip to neighbours Rathcoffey , great game of football and great skills, well done.

And our U11 footballers hosted Raheens at home.

On Sunday our U8 hurlers hosted Naas in their opening round of Go Games and our U10s hosted Kill – a great morning of hurling.

Our older teams were on the road as the U14 St Edwards D7 footballers travelled to Sarsfields with a 4-2 to 4-6 win and our D2 team travelled to Maynooth with a 0-9 to 5-11 win. Our minors played in Straffan against Balyna and lost by 6 points 1-9 to 1-15.

On Monday, what a great night for our young camogs, as our U13s took to the field v Straffan in their D3 opening fixture. Many of the girls playing their first competitive fixture. Well done to the team who won 3-0 to 3-4 on the night.

On Patrick’s Day our U14 D1 hurlers travelled to Maynooth , with a great game and a win 1-7 to 3-16. Hope ye made it out before the parade started !!

A busy night on Wednesday with our U14 D4 hurlers making the trip to Cappagh to play St Coca’s, with a 2 point loss . 1-2 to 0-3 and our U15 camogie team played their 2nd round game;  it wasn’t their night against Éire Og, we go again !

COMING UP

Senior Football League – Back this Friday – Round 2

We get our season underway with our round 2 fixture at home this evening at 8pm as we welcome Rheban. Best of luck to the team and players.

Our U12 footballers are also out on Friday night, as they host Kilcock in Rathcoffey.

Go Games this week see our U8 & U10 footballers play on Saturday along with Feile Football and our U12 D6 footballers who travel to Moorefield for 4pm.

On Sunday morning , our Minor Hurlers have an early start against Leixlip in round 2 of the league at home . And our U7 , U9 and U11 hurlers play Sunday and our U12 camogie team host a blitz with Naas and Celbridge at home at 12.30pm.

On Monday our U13 camogie team play Moorefield at home , throw in is 7pm. And our U17 camogie team play on Wednesday against Round Towers.
