Panto Time – oh yes it is

Our favourite time of the year , the ASDS and AYT production of Sleeping Beauty began last on Thursday night and heads to Straffan Hall next week. Months of hard work by lots of our members and community  – well done to all taking part in 4 sell out shows in Ardclough !!

 

DEYLI – Final night of Module 1

And just like that we are wrapped for Module 1. Well done to all our participants for their work over the last 8 weeks as you finished up on Friday night. We are so proud of you all for signing up to the programme and giving up your Friday nights to learn about leadership.

Special words of thanks to Anne Marie, Brendan, Fiona and Jacinta for facilitating the sessions, its amazing to offer this programme to our young members. Module 2 starts in the new year !

 

U12 Hurlers visit training 

Our U12 hurlers who won the D1 league and Liam Hogan Cup brought the trophies around on Friday night to our young teams and answered lots of questions !

 

Straffard Awards – 21st November

Amazing night of celebrations on Friday for our Straffard teams in Ardclough. Thanks to all our players, mentors and parents for coming along.

 

Scór na nÓg –Semi Final in Carlow
Our Drama Group headed to the Leinster semi-final on Saturday 22nd Nov to perform “The Salmon of Knowledge” , they were amazing and lost out only by 1 point ! We are so proud of them and huge thanks to Elaine Dunne for the massive amount of work she put into preparing and helping all our performers.

 

U12 St Edwards – Day Out !

On Sunday our U12 St Edwards footballers had an early start as they headed to  Red Hills for a team day out , nothing better than mud, paint , pizza and friends ! huge thanks to the coaches for organising such a treat and goodie bags for everyone too !

 

 

U16 G St Edwards Shield Winners

Our U16 football team had a great night on Sunday the 23rd celebrating their win in the shield final against Leixlip. Medals presented by Mayo football legend Conor Mortimer and the lads enjoyed some pizza after.

 

 

Fun-tastic in Airtastic

It’s the season for team days out and our U8 footballers and hurlers headed to Airtastic for some Laser tag and pizza. Great memories for the group and a super night

 

 Juvenile Football Awards Night – 25th November

What a great night on Tuesday in the clubhouse as our juvenile footballers celebrated with an end of season awards night. Medals and selection boxes were presented to each group from U6 to U11 up. A great night to remember for our young footballers. Well done to Brian, Brendan and the juvenile football committee for organising.

 

Club AGM

Our 89th club AGM was held on Wednesday night. Thank you to all our members who attended to review and reflect on a fantastic year for the club. It’s a great opportunity to pause and reflect on the year gone by and celebrate all our achievements both on and off the pitch.

St Edwards Awards Night – U12 & U14

On Thursday evening our U12 and U14 footballers from St Edwards celebrated a fantastic season with special guests Stephen Cluxton and Ciaran Kilkenny on hand to present the medals to the U12 D2 league winner , U12 A championship shield final winners and the U14 B championship shield winners.

 

 

 

Juvenile Hurling Awards – December 6th 

Our juvenile awards take place this Saturday night from 6.15pm – a great night ahead

U8 hurlers in Celbridge

Our U8 hurlers travelled to Celbridge on Saturday 22nd for 3 great games of hurling and some jellies  to finish off the season.

 

Our U20 camogs continue their league , playing Celbridge on Wednesday and they’re out again on Monday night against Kill at 7.30pm.

Our St Edwards U23 footballers had a great win over Confey in the semifinal and now play Castlemitchell in the final on December 5th in Manguard.

 

Juvenile Training

That’s a wrap for our juvenile training for 2025 , our hardy U8 hurlers finished their last session this morning.

Straffard

Hard luck to our fab U14s who lost their final to Kilcullen on Saturday evening. They played their hearts out and lost by 4 points. Well done to the girls on a great season.

 

Our Mothers and Others team travelled to Kill on Sunday for a blitz , well done to everyone and thanks to Kill for hosting.
